Peace loving cartoonists acquire Virtual
Nation citizenship
|
Interview
with Jean Plantu and Kishka |
| |
Our first interview in this
newest VN Radio Programme is
with the two world-reknown
cartoonists, Jean Plantu, the
main cartoonist of Le Monde and
Kishka, a progressive Israeli
cartoonist. I met them during
their visit to in Geneva – they
were staying at the same hotel
patronized by the Tintin
cartoonist Hergé.
After much laughter they could
only accept my invitation to
become citizens of the Virtual
Nation…

Interview
with Savro |
| |
An
interview with Savro, the Lebanese
cartoonist, also a designer and
photographer and a really special
person, especially since he became a
Virtual Nation citizen. But he
remains attached to his
“Lebaneseness” before anything else.
His love for Lebanon, he says,
cannot be compared to any other
love; its people, he says, are like
the flowers that spring up between
the rocks of the mountains always
reaching out for a new sky.

Interview
with Dilem |

|
| |
And last but not least we meet
Dilem, the cartoonist separated
from his native Algeria after
being imprisoned 24 times, once
for his drawing of the dove of
peace pissing on fundamentalists
from all main religions. He too
is now a Virtual citizen and
promises to dedicate the
revenues from some of his
cartoons to a special fund to
purchase a deserted island where
the citizens of the Nation can
go to sleep and make love in
peace.
